In the 2014 season, the Patriots had started 2-2 and had recently suffered one of the worst losses with Tom Brady at QB on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. At that time, panic has arisen around New England for the fair weather fans because the offense was struggling with turnovers and scoring. After the game, CSNNE's Mike Giardi asked if they're re-evaluating the QB position. Belichick gave him a GIF-worthy scoff.
Two days later came the most famous press conference of that season. As reporters continued to ask him about the team's slow start, the answer was "We're on to Cincinnati" for each question.
We all remember how that story ended. The Patriots hosted a 3-0 Cincinnati and gave them a 3-phase beating in a 43-17 win that started off the 2014 title run with a bang. The Bengals wound up to go on and flop to the 5th seed, as they watched the Pittsburgh Steelers win the AFC North, and another Wild Card round exit against the Indianapolis Colts. The Patriots would win Super Bowl XLIX later that season.
The press conference is memorable to the point that noted comedian Frank Caliendo parodied the press conference.
