New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski was a surprise addition to the Friday injury report with an illness. He had previously attended practice in a limited capacity due to his hamstring injury and was present on Thursday.
Never fear, Gronkowski has been fighting the stomach flu and is expected to play this Sunday against the Bengals, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Gronkowski attended a breast cancer awareness event after Thursday practice and must have come down with the flu overnight.
The Patriots keep players that are sick away from the building so no one else can catch the illness. Gronkowski has likely been pumping himself full of fluids over the past few days.
That said, Gronkowski probably won’t be 100% with both the flu and a hamstring injury, so look for TE Martellus Bennett to have a bigger role in the offense.
