As you must have heard over the broadcast, the headsets at Gillette Stadium were extremely screwy on Sunday. The immediate second there were concerns about the sideline communication, the story was relayed to the announcers booth for a lengthy discussion of unfounded ghost stories surrounding the Bill Belichick mystique.
Oh, wait, it was the Patriots headsets that didn’t work on Sunday. Never mind. Of course no one cared.

“Both offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and defensive coordinator Matt Patricia were left signaling in plays after the coach-player communication system proved so unreliable the team stopped banking on it to be of any use,” according to CSNNE’s Tom Curran.
Curran also notes that the Patriots have had problems with the league-issued tablets and that the team has pretty much stopped using them.
