The New England Patriots must not have liked what they saw this morning when they put QB Jimmy Garoppolo through some tests. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Garoppolo will not be active against the Buffalo Bills, giving rookie QB Jacoby Brissett his second straight start.

This runs contrary to yesterday’s report from CBS, which stated that the Patriots had decided on Garoppolo as the starter against the Bills. Garoppolo injured his shoulder in week 2 against the Dolphins and hasn’t been healthy enough to play.
In an interesting twist, we might never see Garoppolo throw another pass in a Patriots uniform. We’ll also have seen more of Brissett under center over Tom Brady’s suspension than we’ll have seen of Garoppolo.
WR Julian Edelman will serve as the back-up quarterback.
Let’s hope Garoppolo gets some added rest and that offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has another great game plan for Brissett.
