The New England Patriots had full attendance at Thursday’s practice, per multiple media reports. The Patriots are getting healthy for their showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This marks the second straight day of full attendance for the first time since preparation for week 4 against the Buffalo Bills.
There was no sign of RB Dion Lewis, so it is likely that the Patriots are going to wait for his return until after the bye in week 9. There’s no need to rush him back since the Patriots will have three weeks to activate the rusher to the 53-man roster once he returns to the practice field.
OG Tre Jackson has not returned to practice yet, either.
The following players were limited at Thursday’s practice:
TE Martellus Bennett - Ankle
RB Brandon Bolden - Knee
LB Jamie Collins - Hip
WR Julian Edelman - Foot
DL Woodrow Hamilton - Shoulder
LB Shea McClellin - Concussion
WR Malcolm Mitchell - Hamstring
LB Elandon Roberts - Ankle
DL Vincent Valentine - Back
As for Pittsburgh, it was another sparsely populated day of practice, as the following players did not participate:
T Marcus Gilbert - Ankle
DE Cameron Heyward - Hamstring
QB Ben Roethlisberger - Left Knee
S Shamarko Thomas - Groin
C Cody Wallace - Knee
WR Markus Wheaton - Shoulder
RB DeAngelo Williams - Knee
If any of these players remain out tomorrow, the odds of them suiting up on Sunday are slim.
