New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick went to the Belestrator to break down the Pittsburgh Steelers and all of their talent on offense. Belichick wanted to highlight the talent and ability of the entire offense, but it’s clear that there are two players worth watching: RB Le’Veon Bell and WR Antonio Brown.
Bell is “very quick in the open field, can make guys miss, is a strong runner, not looking to run out of bounds, looking to grind out, even cutting it back here at the very end of the run...trying to get two or three extra yards,” according to Belichick.
The Steelers’ running back is such a threat that he sucked the entire Dolphins defense on a play-fake and that allowed Pittsburgh WR Darrius Heyward-Bey to score on an end-around.
Brown “can hit you in every way, whether it’s catch and run plays, intermediate routes, or deep patterns,” Belichick noted and joked that the Patriots will need to keep a free safety deep all game.
Belichick tried to talk about Heyward-Bey and C Maurkice Pouncey and WR Cobi Hamilton, but it’s Bell’s ability as a universal threat and Brown’s route-running that will make Sunday difficult for the Patriots defense.
