Week 8 Patriots vs Bills Wednesday injury report: RB Dion Lewis not back at practice

New, comments

The Patriots running back is still working his way back.

Despite reports that RB Dion Lewis would return to the field this week, Lewis was not spotted at media access portion of practice. There is still a chance for Lewis to return and it’s pretty standard for players to go through final medical checks before taking the field.

While Lewis wasn’t at practice, OG Tre Jackson was spotted during the stretching portion- but he didn’t appear to be joining the practice. Every member of the Patriots active roster was on the field. DT Anthony Johnson was back after the Patriots released OG Chase Farris to make space on the practice squad.

New LB Kyle Van Noy was spotted wearing the #53 jersey and he worked with the linebackers.

The following players were listed as LIMITED at practice on Wednesday:

TE Martellus Bennett (ankle)

RB Brandon Bolden (knee)

LB Jamie Collins (hip)

WR Julian Edelman (foot)

DT Woodrow Hamilton (shoulder)

LB Elandon Roberts (ankle)

DT Vincent Valentine (back)

LB Shea McClellin has been removed from the injury report.

The Bills were hurting at practice as starters LB Lorenzo Alexander (non-injury related), LB Zach Brown (illness), TE Charles Clay (knee), LT Cordy Glenn (ankle), WR Maquise Goodwin (concussion), RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring), and S Aaron Williams (neck) did not practice.

Other starters like DT Marcell Dareus (hamstring), ED Jerry Hughes (hand), OG John Miller (shoulder), and WR Robert Woods (foot) were limited.
