The New England Patriots are playing against the Buffalo Bills right now, trying to get revenge for the 16-0 loss they suffered at the hands of their rival in week 4. Things are looking very good for Bill Belichick’s squad right now as the Patriots have taken a relatively comfortable lead – thanks in part to this Julian Edelman touchdown catch:
Edelman has now caught three passes for 30 yards and that score, which is the first of his 2016 season. Despite leading the team in receptions on the year, the 30-year old has not yet found the endzone – until now.
The Patriots, who elected to defer in the first half after winning the coin toss, received the second-half kick-off, which wide receiver Danny Amendola – who also threw a great block on Edelman’s touchdown – returned 73 yards. Only two plays later, Tom Brady fired the above pass to Edelman. It was Brady’s fourth scoring pass of the day.
The Bills scored a touchdown on the subsequent drive and New England now leads 31-17.
