After two days away from the practice fields, the New England Patriots returned today for a full pads session. The injury report the team released afterwards includes some of the biggest names on the roster.
While one of those, tight end Rob Gronkowski, returned to practice after missing all of last week, another – the biggest name of them all – missed the session due to what was reported to be a knee injury: Tom Brady was a no-show today.
However, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Brady should be good to go on Sunday against the New York Jets:
#Patriots QB Tom Brady, who missed practice with a knee injury, should be fine for Sunday vs #Jets, I'm told.
This is certainly good news, even though we do not yet know the extent of Brady’s injury. What we do know is that he did not appear to have suffered any sort of injury during last Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers and was not listed on any of last week’s injury reports.
Still, whatever the issue is it is reportedly not enough to keep Brady out of this week’s game. Exhale, New England!
