The New England Patriots hosted practice on Tuesday and CB Jonathan Jones was the lone absence. Jones suffered a hip injury in the days leading up to the week 8 match-up against the Bills, so perhaps the absence is related. Jones ranks 3rd on the team in special teams snaps, trailing only S Nate Ebner and LB Barkevious Mingo.
RB Dion Lewis continued to practice, with WEEI’s Ryan Hannable catching video of the running back working the sled.

The Patriots are hoping that Lewis can play against the Seahawks, and the running back has to be promoted to the active roster by the Thursday before the week 11 game against the 49ers, or else he’ll be sent to the injured reserve.
Lewis is the only member on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to participate in practice. OG Tre Jackson and OT Sebastian Vollmer have not yet taken the field. I have a hunch that the Patriots are saving Jackson on the PUP list as a “break in case of injury” option. Vollmer is not expected to play in 2016. The Patriots have until week 11 to return Jackson and Vollmer to practice.
