Week 13 Patriots vs Rams Thursday injury report: Tom Brady returns to practice!

Here are the latest updates from Patriots practice.

The New England Patriots have released their Thursday injury report for week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams. TE Martellus Bennett, QB Tom Brady, and WR Julian Edelman all returned to practice. Two new players were added to the list as DT Woodrow Hamilton did not practice and ED Trey Flowers was limited.

Did Not Practice

DB Nate Ebner (concussion)
TE Rob Gronkowski (back)
SS Jordan Richards (knee)
DT Woodrow Hamilton (illness)

Limited

TE Martellus Bennett (ankle/shoulder)
QB Tom Brady (knee)
WR Julian Edelman (foot)
WR Chris Hogan (back)
WR Matthew Slater (foot)
ED Trey Flowers (shin)

We are monitoring how the potential loss of Gronkowski affects the Patriots, but it’s worth noting that the four players most needed to pick up the slack- Bennett, Brady, Edelman, and Hogan- are all closer to full health.

Hamilton’s health deserves monitoring should veteran DT Alan Branch ultimately be suspended for four games. Hopefully Flowers’ injury is minor.

For the Rams, WR Tavon Austin (chest), C Tim Barnes (foot), OG Rodger Saffold (hand), and DE Robert Quinn (concussion) remained out of practice, reducing their odds of playing on Sunday. OT Andrew Donnal (hip) returned to practice in a limited capacity.
