The New England Patriots offense just leaned on their rushing attack to take on the best run defense in the NFL- and it worked!
RB LeGarrette Blount and RB James White combined for 7 touches and 40 yards, while WR Julian Edelman chipped in 32 extra receiving yards, as the Patriots took advantage of Shea McClellin’s blocked field goal to take a 9-0 lead.

Blount has recorded his 14th rushing touchdown of the season, tying RB Curtis Martin (1995, 1996) for the most in Patriots franchise history. The next rushing touchdown from Blount will be the new franchise record.
