Two days after their 30-23 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, the New England Patriots have turned the page to week 15. The team returned to the practice fields today to start preparing for its upcoming opponent, the defending world champion Denver Broncos.
The Patriots started their week with a walkthrough and the following players were listed on the injury report afterwards:
WR Danny Amendola (Ankle): Did not participate
TE Martellus Bennett (Ankle/Shoulder): Limited participation
CB Malcolm Butler (Hip): Limited participation
SS Jordan Richards (Knee): Limited participation
LB Elandon Roberts (Hamstring): Limited participation
CB Eric Rowe (Hamstring): Limited participation
WR Matthew Slater (Foot): Limited participation
When comparing today's injury report to the last one released prior to last week's game, one difference stands out: the addition of Malcolm Butler. The Patriots' number one cornerback suffered a hip injury against the Ravens but after sitting out one play was able to finish the game. It seems as if New England is simply playing it safe and therefore limited his participation today.
The rest of the team's report looks the way it did last week. While Danny Amendola will miss Sunday's game, the other players have decent shots to make the trip to Colorado and play against the Broncos.
Denver's injury report looks as follows:
LB Todd Davis (Rib cage): Did not participate
LS Casey Kreiter (Calf): Did not participate
LB Brandon Marshall (Hamstring): Did not participate
OT Russell Okung (Not injury related): Did not participate
OC Matt Paradis (Hip): Did not participate
TE A.J. Derby (Groin): Full participation
WR Bennie Fowler (Knee): Full participation
LB Corey Nelson (Finger): Full participation
QB Trevor Simian (Foot): Full participation
CB Aqib Talib (Back): Full participation
LB DeMarcus Ware (Thigh): Full participation
