While not all was perfect on Monday night against the visiting Baltimore Ravens -- see: returning kicks in the third quarter -- the victory was arguably the New England Patriots' most complete of the year. At times, the team looked dominant in all three phases of the game.
Consequently, it is no surprise to see the New ' coaching staff hand out a high number of "practice player of the week" awards. Seven Patriots received the honor; they are as follows (via the team's Twitter account):
SS Nate Ebner
RB D.J. Foster
DE Geneo Grissom
OG Ted Karras
SS Brandon King
TE Matt Lengel
OT LaAdrian Waddle
While neither player made a highlight reel play -- on fact, Foster and Waddle were not even active for the game -- they apparently played a key role in preparing for a well-rounded Ravens team. The results, a seven-point victory, speak for themselves.
Congratulations, men. Now back to work.
