The New England Patriots have an opening on the practice squad after the Miami Dolphins signed LB Trevor Reilly off the practice squad. The Dolphins have to pay Reilly three weeks of salary after taking him from the Patriots.
We have signed linebacker Trevor Reilly off New England’s practice squad and waived linebacker Zach Vigil.

Reilly is the 4th Patriots practice squad player to be signed away by another franchise this season, joining RB Bishop Sankey, DT Anthony Johnson, and WR Devin Street.
4th time this season that a Patriots practice squad player has been signed away by another team (Reilly, Sankey, Anthony Johnson, Street)

Reilly was a productive member of the practice squad and was named practice player of the week three times. The Patriots will face Reilly and the Dolphins in week 17.
The Patriots still have LB Trevor Bates on the practice squad, so the team doesn’t have to replace Reilly with another linebacker. Don’t be surprised if the team finds a tight end to add to the practice squad.
