New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles has been hospitalized due to an “undisclosed illness” according to an official release. Bowles did not travel with the team to New England. Linebackers and assistant head coach Mike Caldwell is expected to lead the Jets on Saturday.
Bowles is “okay” and is trying to convince the doctors to let him travel to New England.
The Jets are already going through serious changes at quarterback, with Bryce Petty taking over for Ryan Fitzpatrick, and a change-up at head coach will only add to the confusion.
