The New England Patriots are digging deep for help at wide receiver as rookie RB D.J. Foster practiced with the wide receivers on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. Foster has spent his time with the Patriots at running back, but he played slot receiver in his final year at Arizona State.
WR Danny Amendola (ankle), TE Martellus Bennett (ankle/shoulder), S Jordan Richards (knee), and WR Matthew Slater (foot) were not at practice. CB Eric Rowe (hamstring) warmed up with the team and left early, but claimed he was feeling good in the locker room.
QB Tom Brady was at practice, which is a good sign for the health of his knee. He had previously missed practices at the start of the week to get work done on his knee, so he must be close to healthy.
