After the Denver Broncos defeated the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, an anonymous Broncos defender claimed he "tried to rub my nuts on [Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's] face" during the game.
I think we now probably know who said it.
Broncos defensive tackle Derek Wolfe collected six tackles, half a sack, and spent the majority of the game discarding Patriots guard Josh Kline like a coat after a long day at the office. Wolfe beat Kline so badly during the game that the Patriots coaching staff asked rookie Shaq Mason to flip sides with Kline in the 4th quarter.
According to Broncos safety T.J. Ward, Wolfe also had some choice words to say to quarterback Tom Brady during the game.
"I heard him hit somebody with the Mike Tyson," Ward said on ESPN's Highly Questionable. "He told somebody he was gonna eat their kids. I was shocked by it. That was an opposing player. I think it was Tom Brady. I think he told Brady that. Yes. Digest them."
Ward was then asked if he could confirm that Wolfe was the one who tried to put his junk on Brady's face, but he couldn't confirm.
"I watched the film," Ward said. "It may have been a couple guys, because I've seen a couple players where they looked like there was some intent there."
