Patriots Announce Offseason Dates; Workouts Begin April 18

The rough schedule for the next months has been set.

The NFL never sleeps. Super Bowl 50 and the 2015 season are almost two months behind us as we are already on to the next year. We are the middle of free agency, heading straight towards the draft in late April. But those two are not the only important dates on the calendar, the New England Patriots have announced yesterday.

Via patriots.com, let's take a look at some of the team's key offseason dates:

APRIL 18: Clubs with returning head coaches may begin offseason workout programs.
MAY 23, 24 & 26: Patriots Organized Team Activities (closed to the public).
JUNE 1 - 2: Patriots Organized Team Activities (closed to the public).
JUNE 7 - 9: Patriots Mandatory Mini-Camp (closed to the public).
JUNE 13,14 & 16: Patriots Organized Team Activities (closed to the public).

Furthermore, each NFL team has the possibility to hold a three-day rookie minicamp, either on the first (May 6-9) or second weekend (May 13-16) weekend after the draft.

While the Patriots have set their schedule until late June, they have not yet announced when their 2016 training camp will take place. Judging by the past, though, it will probably open late July.
