Pats Pulpit Podcast Episode 033: What are the Patriots Next Steps in Free Agency?

As the New England Patriots turn their focus towards the NFL Draft, we can evaluate how the team performed during the first month of free agency.

Before the start of the free agency period, the Patriots had needs at running back, wide receiver, tight end, offensive tackle, defensive tackle, linebacker, and cornerback. They've addressed wide receiver, partially, with Chris Hogan, they've added tight end Martellus Bennett, and they've brought in linebacker Shea McClellin.

The Patriots have done a terrific job of patching up the roster so they can focus on adding the best players that will be available in the draft. There's still a need for a potential 2017 starter at offensive tackle and cornerback, but the Patriots are playing out their strategy as well as could be expected.

Oh, and the rest of the AFC appears to have gotten worse. Happy days for New England.
