Fletcher came into the league as an UDFA and moved off the edge to a linebacker role his rookie year in 2010. Fletcher played 4 years with the Patriots as a reserve LB and core Special Teamer. He spent one year in Tampa Bay before returning to New England in 2015 and spending the year on PUP and Injured Reserve. During his career, he tore his right ACL twice, once in 2012 and another in 2014. For an UDFA out of Montana State, six years in the NFL is a very successful career, pocketing just over $3.5M. I wish him the best on his future endeavors.
UPDATE: Dane Fletcher was initially released with a failed physical designation before electing to retire.
