The New England Patriots added nine players in the 2016 NFL Draft and Alec and Rich were excited to break them down.
Second round pick CB Cyrus Jones will add a lot of athleticism and versatility to the secondary, as well as future upside. Third round OL Joe Thuney will immediately compete for a starting role on the interior of the offensive line as the Patriots continue to try and solidify protection for QB Tom Brady.
The Patriots added another QB in the third round with Jacoby Brissett, who looks to learn on the roster before Jimmy Garoppolo is traded after this season. The final third round pick was DT Vincent Valentine, who is just a total athletic freak that the Patriots hope can translate on the football field.
