Former Patriots NT Vince Wilfork to star in next ESPN: The Body Issue

This is the greatest bit of NFL news since the Patriots won the Super Bowl.

Dreams really do come true.

According to a release from ESPN, former New England Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork will participate in the next Body Issue.

“I know I don’t have the six-packs and the eight-packs and all that,” Wilfork said. “But I’m perfectly fin with what I am. If people can look at me, look at a guy that’s 325-plus doing an issue like this, I’m pretty sure that they might have a littl confidence after seeing that it’s ok to be who you are.”

For those unaware of the Body Issue and what it entails, ESPN selects professional athletes to strip of all of their clothes and to pose naked for a magazine photo shoot. This is the eighth year of the Body Issue and 19 athletes are taking part.

Joining the 325 lbs Wilfork (yeah, sure) are the likes of star wide receiver Antonio Brown and pass rusher Von Miller, along with MLB pitcher Jake Arietta and NBA star Dwayne Wade.

I wonder if Wade lost a bet with LeBron James over the NBA title.

Wilfork will absolutely dominate this photoshoot because he’s a beautiful man with a beautiful soul and I have no doubt it will come out well on film. Although I will warn people- Wilfork is a freaking professional athlete. He’ll be as ripped at 325 lbs as most people are at 180 lbs.

Here are a few stills from the announcement video.
