The Baltimore Patriots fan club got a shout-out from the Patriots

Baltimore New England Patriots Fans are this month’s “Fan Club of the Month” on the official New England Patriots website.

For a little while now, the New England Patriots official website has been showing some love to Patriots fan clubs all around the country – and the world.  In the "Lifestyle" section, they’ve picked a different Patriots fan club in a different city every month and told the club’s story – how they got together, what kind of traditions they have, and where they meet up.

July’s club of the month is Baltimore, and they sound like they’re hanging tough in a city where one of New England’s biggest AFC rivals play.

You can read the whole article on the Patriots’ website, but here’s a few fun facts about the Baltimore branch of Patriots Nation, in case you ever find yourself in Charm City:

-Baltimore New England Patriots Fans was started by a Connecticut guy named Jason in 2014, who says the first thing he ever bought with his own money was an Andre Tippett action figure.

-BNEPF (that’s a mouthful) meets up at a bar called Canton Dockside, and judging by the menu, it looks delicious.

-Apparently after the Patriots beat the Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round in 2014, Jason jumped on top of Ray Lewis statue and took a photo holding up a Patriots flag.

-They’re 400 members deep on Facebook.

Moving away from home can be tough, but fellow football fans, good food and drinks, and a good place to hang out can make getting used to a new city a whole lot better.

And if you’re also defending the wall from outside New England and want to find your local Pats fan club, the team has all the official ones listed here.

Unless you’re in Alaska, in which case, you’re out of luck – or it’s up to you to start one.
