The Bears are looking to come back after a disastrous 22-0 shutout against the Denver Broncos, while the Patriots are looking to keep the Bears in the dumps.
It’s likely that Patriots fans will get their first glimpse of Tom Brady this preseason, and it’s probable that Jimmy Garoppolo will play a substantial amount of snaps to prepare for the regular season.
The Patriots look to continue their growth on the offense line, while there is a slim, slim chance that wide receivers Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan will play- but don’t hold your breath for Edelman.
The Bears coaching staff includes Ben McDaniels, the younger brother of Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Bears lineman Kyle Long and Patriots edge defender Chris Long are brothers, too.
The Bears feature former Patriots defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, quarterback Brian Hoyer, and lineman Ted Larsen. The Patriots have former Bears linebacker Shea McClellin and tight end Martellus Bennett. McClellin is unlikely to play.
