The New England Patriots had Tuesday off, but they’re back to the grind stone and they’re almost done with implementing the playbook.
“[The Patriots are] starting to build in some more team things,” head coach Bill Belichick said on Monday, “and players will be off on Tuesday, and then grind it out the rest of the week. So by the end of the week we'll have had a pretty good, pretty high percentage of our fundamental playbook in all three phases of the game, so that's where we're at.”
The Patriots are missing a few key players from practice, like wide receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola and tackle Sebastian Vollmer, but they are experienced in the system so the learning curve should be smaller for them.
It would be great to see more of these players return to action. Follow along in the comments for updates.
