As we all know by now, Patriots safety and special teamer Nate Ebner is currently not with the team, as he has been granted leave to go and represent the United States in the 2016 Olympics as a member of the US rugby team. Ebner didn't even start playing football until his junior year at Ohio State, but his skill at rugby made for a fairly smooth transition and he has parlayed that into a fairly successful career in New England.
In a show of solidarity and support for their guy, members of the Patriots coaching staff have been spotted at practice wearing a Nate Ebner t-shirt sporting his name and rugby number:

Pretty cool move by the heartless, arrogant, stony, standoffish Bill Belichick to shy away from the blue cutoff and into an Ebner tee.One of those feel-good stories from training camp before things get too serious.
The US Men's Rugby team kicks off their bid for the gold today at noon. Take some time off of work and stream the game - rugby is actually a really fun sport to watch, even if you have no idea what's going on.
Give it hell, fellas. And best of luck to Nate Ebner!
