New England Patriots K Stephen Gostkowski has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the opening week of the 2016 season.

Gostkowski was 3/3 on field goals from 47- and 53-yards out, and the game-winner from 32-yards out with 3:44 left on the game clock. He was also 2/2 on extra points.
It’s also impressive to note that Gostkowski knocked two touchbacks out of the end zone on kick offs, but his returned kicks forced the Cardinals to start from their own 11-, 19-, 21-, and 8-yard line, with that final starting location helping to influence the Cardinals failed final drive.
