The New England Patriots needed a big game out of their rookie 3rd-string quarterback Jacoby Brissett. He’s stepping up to the plate.
The Patriots started on the Texans 22 yard line after running back Brandon Bolden forced a fumble on a Houston kick return. A Marcus Cannon false start set the Patriots back 5 yards, but Brissett had different plans.
Brissett ran 27 yards for this touchdown to give the Patriots a 10-0 lead. Brissett is 4 of 6 for 43 yards and has added another 40 yards rushing on two carries. It is still the first quarter.
I don’t know what is going on. I’m shocked. I expect the Texans to catch up eventually because this is crazy. But I’m okay with it.
