The Patriots are 3-0 and get to do some early scouting. The Patriots face the Bills in week 4, and the Bills face a familiar opponent in the Cardinals, which should make it easier for the Patriots to make a comparison and breakdown.

Odds are, though, you’ll be watching the Broncos and Bengals square off on CBS, or Washington take on the Giants on FOX.

Here’s our picks and rooting guide.

Cardinals (-4.5) at Bills: The Bills won’t have WR Sammy Watkins and the Cardinals are angry. Arizona wins and covers. The Patriots will be rooting for the Cardinals since the Bills are in disarray and are on the verge of collapse.

Raiders (-1.5) at Titans: The Raiders have been a disappointment, but I think they can pull off a close win on the road. The Patriots should be rooting for the Raiders to win so they can compete for the AFC West crown.

Washington at Giants (-3.5): The Giants should be able to win, but I’ll say that Washington covers. This game doesn’t affect the Patriots.

Browns at Dolphins (-10): Ten points is a lot for this Dolphins team, but the Browns are starting rookie QB Cody Kessler. I think that Miami wins and covers, but the Patriots will be rooting for Cleveland.

Ravens (-1) at Jaguars: The Patriots should be rooting for the Jaguars to take down the 2-0 Ravens. I think they do it since the Ravens have two wins over the hapless Bills and Browns.

Lions at Packers (-7): This game doesn’t affect the Patriots, but Aaron Rodgers looks really bad right now. While I still think the Packers win, I feel like we can’t expect them to cover.

Broncos at Bengals (-3): The Patriots will be rooting for the Bengals to take down the 2-0 Broncos and I think the Bengals have the pieces in place to be able to win, especially at home.

Vikings at Panthers (-7.5): The Panthers destroyed the 49ers last week, while the Vikings upset the Packers. The entire Vikings roster appears to be on the injured reserve, though. I think the Panthers and cover.
