New England Patriots punter Ryan Allen has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against the Houston Texans.
Allen punted seven times and pinned the Texans deep inside their territory, forcing extremely long drive distances. His punts set the Texans back on their own 11-, 10-, 10-, 20-, 14-, 5-, and 4- yard lines.

Allen needed a big game after a shaky performance against the Dolphins and it’s hard to play any better than he did against the Texans.
Congratulations to Allen on a well deserved accolade.
Allen is the second player on the Patriots to be named Special Teams Player of the Week this season after kicker Stephen Gostkowski earned the distinction in week 1.
