The New England Patriots released their final injury report of the Divisional Round and my first reaction was, wow, last year’s Divisional Round injury report was horrifying in comparison.
Seriously. Check out the difference in players listed as QUESTIONABLE this week, versus last year.

The Patriots featured seventeen players on their final injury report against the Chiefs, including one player OUT, twelve players QUESTIONABLE, and four players PROBABLE. You can gauge the fan reaction in the comments of this post. The writing should have been on the wall for the Patriots postseason success because it’s difficult to succeed when your entire starting offense and defense is hurt.

Yeah, that’s it. Just a 4th round rookie wide receiver. WR Danny Amendola is on the report as a full participant, but his game status is not in jeopardy. Only one player on the Patriots has been given an OUT or QUESTIONABLE distinction (there is no more PROBABLE label) this week.
The Patriots don’t have TE Rob Gronkowski, but it’s clear that this team is far healthier than last year’s version (knock on wood) and should have more success in the postseason.
