The New England Patriots locker room celebration seemed split down the middle. The defense was partying after locking down the Houston Texans offense. The offense just seemed to be happy that the game was over.
“That was tough, man,” Patriots QB Tom Brady said to team owner Robert Kraft with a sigh. “They did a good job.”
The Patriots defensive backs were thrilled with their performance, with head coach Bill Belichick giving specific praise to the team’s trio of Rutgers defensive backs- CB Logan Ryan, FS Devin McCourty, and FS Duron Harmon- all of whom recorded a key interception.
The only player that seemed genuinely thrilled on offense was rookie LG Joe Thuney who is spotted trying to lift up LT Nate Solder in celebration. Patriots OC Josh McDaniels ran up to C David Andrews who seemed to need a pick-me-up, while RB Dion Lewis looked like he swallowed a bug, despite scoring three touchdowns.
