WATCH: Bill Belichick caught laughing, expressing happiness in latest mic’d up video

New, comments

Belichick’s coding must have experienced a temporary breakdown because he showed joyful emotion on the sideline.

The New England Patriots locker room was somber after defeating the Houston Texans, but don’t let that distract you from the good spirits of the Patriots defense. After a rocky first half, the Patriots coaches were caught on tape giving the defense a pep talk.

“It’s us,” Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia said. “Let’s settle down and play ball, men. It’s going to be 60 minutes. We know that. We let them back in. We got to go back out, f—ing three-and-out, we got to start getting to them. Let’s just talk and let’s keep going.”

“Come on fellas, it’s just us now,” Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said over Patricia’s shoulder. “It’s just us. Let’s settle down and play here.”

The Patriots went into the half with a 17-13 lead, but ran away in the second half with three interceptions by the secondary. Coincidentally, the three players that recorded interceptions- FS Devin McCourty, CB Logan Ryan, and FS Duron Harmon- all attended the University of Rutgers.

“That’s the reason why you go to Rutgers!,” Devin McCourty shouted with glee on the sideline.

“Another great day for Rutgers,” Bill Belichick laughed. LAUGHED!

The Patriots were quieter in the locker room after their victory, but Belichick and the defense were fired up after their huge plays in the second half.
