The New England Patriots crushed the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas. The Patriots ran out to an early lead, but really pulled away in the second half in what was ultimately a pretty boring conference title game.
The Patriots weren’t alone as the Atlanta Falcons destroyed the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game with a final score of 44-21 (it wasn’t that close). The Falcons have had the best offense in the NFL this year and will be regarded as one of the best offenses in the history of the sport.
New England has been the most consistent team in the league from wire-to-wire, with the #1 offense in weighted DVOA, the #1 defense in points allowed, and the #1 special teams unit in DVOA. It would be no surprise if the Patriots were able to win their 5th Super Bowl of the Tom Brady era.
Super Bowl LI will take place in Houston, Texas on Sunday, February 5th at 6:30 PM EST. The game will be shown on FOX.
