Due to yesterday’s victory in the AFC Championship Game, the New England Patriots have punched their ticket to a date with the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl. And while the game is still two weeks away, focus has to shift quickly to the upcoming opponent.
One player who is already “on to Atlanta” is -- unsurprisingly -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. And according to his weekly appearance on WEEI’s “Kirk & Callahan”, he was last night. When asked if he was already studying film on the Falcons, Brady replied as follows:
No, I was kind of just looking at their depth chart at about 1:30 in the morning.
Just a couple of hours after New England’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers ended, the 39-year old was apparently no longer in a celebratory mood and instead started preparing for a game 14 days away. Given how tough of a team the Falcons have proven to be during their playoff run, this early start is certainly a wise decision; one that might set the tone for the rest of the team.
