Patriots to hold Super Bowl sendoff rally at Gillette Stadium on Monday

Gather, people of New England, to support your team!

On Tuesday, the New England Patriots announced a rough schedule for the next one-and-a-half weeks leading up to Super Bowl LI. One key date listed is next Monday, January 30, when the team will leave the New England area to fly to Houston.

The trip to Texas is not the only important date on the Patriots’ agenda that day, though. Before leaving, players and coaches will be part of a sendoff rally as the team announced yesterday:

#Patriots will host a sendoff rally on Jan. 30 at approx. 9:30 a.m. on NRG Plaza outside @TheHall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon.

Monday’s event will not be the first one of its kind. Two years ago, when the Patriots traveled to Arizona to play in Super Bowl XLIX, the team held a rally outside Boston’s City Hall. Robert Kraft, the team’s captains and head coach Bill Belichick were part of the festivities then – and they are also expected to be part of the upcoming event.
