The New England Patriots trounced the Miami Dolphins 35-14 to clinch the best record in the NFL and homefield advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. WR Julian Edelman is playing better than ever, but so are the running backs, offensive line, and the entire defense.
Can any team take down the Patriots?
Maybe not until the AFC Conference Championship, because the Houston Texans, Oakland Raiders, and Miami Dolphins are all struggling at quarterback and probably won’t make it to the next round. And even then, the Patriots match up very well against the Pittsburgh Steelers- which leaves the Kansas City Chiefs as the biggest hurdle to jump.
And then there’s the exciting NFC playoffs with great storylines for every team as a potential Super Bowl match-up with the Patriots. Do you hate the Patriots? You probably hate the Cowboys. Curious about the Bill Belichick coaching tree? The Falcons and Lions are both branches. And then the Seahawks, Packers, and Giants all offer Super Bowl rematches.
