Former New England Patriots offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo is returning to the AFC East to help the Miami Dolphins, according to the Palm Beach Post. The Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster resigned this week after video circulated of him snorting a white substance.
DeGuglielmo is no stranger to the AFC East. He served as the Patriots offensive line coach for their run at Super Bowl XLIX and in the follow up year of 2015. He served as a stop-gap as Dante Scarnecchia took some time away from coaching.
Previously, DeGuglielmo was the Dolphins offensive line coach from 2009-11 before coaching the New York Jets in 2012. He coached the Los Angeles Chargers as the assistant offensive line coach in 2016.
The Palm Beach Post notes that DeGuglielmo is not expected to get the title of “offensive line coach,” but will still help out with the unit. The Patriots will face the Dolphins in week 12 and week 14.
