Patriots rookie LB Harvey Langi involved in car accident; suffered “serious” but non life-threatening injuries

New England's rookie was involved in a car crash last night.

According to a report by NESN's Doug Kyed, New England Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi and his wife were involved in a car crash yesterday night. The couple suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries, per Kyed.

Shortly after the story was reported, the Patriots released a statement via their Twitter account:

New England signed Langi as an undrafted free agent following this year’s draft. He has appeared in one regular season game for the team.

[UPDATE] According to Dick Harmon of the Deseret News, Langi and his wife were brought to nearby hospitals where the linebacker was being treated for neck and head injuries. His wife suffered fractures to both her hips as well as broken ribs.
