The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons posted the first injury reports of week 7 and there are a few changes. Patriots QB Tom Brady is no longer listed after dealing with a left shoulder injury in week 6 and TE Rob Gronkowski and his thigh injury was also removed.
RT Marcus Cannon, LB Dont’a Hightower, and WR Matthew Slater were removed as well, but a few names were added. Here’s Wednesday’s injury report.
Limited Practice
Patriots: RB Rex Burkhead (ribs), WR Chris Hogan (ribs), OG Shaq Mason (shoulder)
Falcons: OLB Vic Beasley Jr. (hamstring), LB Jermaine Grace (hamstring), LB Deion Jones (quadricep), DE Takk McKinley (shoulder), LB Duke Riley (knee), WR Mohamed Sanu (hamstring), DL Courtney Upshaw (ankle/knee)
Burkhead remains limited, while Hogan and Mason are new players on the report. Both Hogan (93%) and Mason (100%) played full roles against the Jets despite these injuries and should still be available to face the Falcons.
Atlanta has a few key players on this list with Beasley and Jones two of their better defenders and Sanu one of their top receivers.
Did Not Practice
Patriots: CB Stephon Gilmore (concussion/ankle), LB Harvey Langi (back), LB Elandon Roberts (ankle), CB Eric Rowe (groin)
Falcons: K Matt Bryant (back)
Gilmore, Langi, and Rowe remain on the injury report, while Roberts was downgraded from limited practice last week to out of practice on Wednesday. While Langi is unlikely to return any time soon, hopefully the other three players will be able to practice at some point with the powerful Falcons offense on the horizon.
