Patriots-Buccaneers Monday injury report: Elandon Roberts and Eric Rowe would not have practiced

The Patriots are dealing with some injuries on defense.

NFL: Carolina Panthers at New England Patriots Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots released a Monday injury report despite not holding a practice and eight players were listed. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers listed four players on their report.

Did Not Practice

Patriots: LB Elandon Roberts (ankle), CB Eric Rowe (groin)

Buccaneers: LB Kwon Alexander (hamstring), LB Lavonte David (ankle), S Keith Tandy (hip), S T.J. Ward (hip)

Alexander, David, and Ward are three starting defenders for the Buccaneers, with Tandy serving as Ward’s replacement in the line-up. Alexander hasn’t played since week 2, David and Ward haven’t played since week 3 and the trio isn’t expected to suit up. Tandy suffered an injury against the Giants and should be questionable.

Roberts suffered an ankle injury against the Panthers, while Rowe re-irritated his groin injury.

Limited

Patriots: RB Rex Burkhead (ribs), OL Marcus Cannon (ankle), CB Stephon Gilmore (ankle), LB Dont’a Hightower (knee), DB Brandon King (hamstring), WR Matthew Slater (hamstring)

Buccaneers: N/A

Danny Amendola, Phillip Dorsett, and Nate Ebner were removed from the injury report on Friday, as was Gilmore. Gilmore had overcome a groin injury but is back on the list with an ankle injury.

Hopefully these players can heal up over the next three days.
