Here is your New England Patriots rooting guide for the early games on Sunday.
1:00 PM ET
Jets at Dolphins (-3): Which team do you think is better? I’m still more afraid of the Dolphins than the Jets, despite a close game in week 6. Go Jets.
Buccaneers at Bills (-3): Go Tampa Bay. A Bucs victory would help the Patriots a lot in the AFC East and with strength of victory and schedule.
Jaguars (-3.5) at Colts: Go Colts! I’d rather not have Jacksonville and their defense in the postseason and I also want Jacoby Brissett to get another win.
Titans (-6) at Browns: Sorry Cleveland, but go Titans. I’d rather see Tennessee win the AFC South and for the Browns to get an early draft pick.
Ravens at Vikings (-5.5): This could get ugly, but go Vikings. I’d rather see Baltimore extremely far away from the AFC playoff picture.
Saints (-4.5) at Packers: No Aaron Rodgers in what could have been an awesome game. Patriots will want the Saints to win for strength of victory and schedule.
Panthers (-3) at Bears: The Patriots would like to see Carolina win for the sake of strength of schedule; a Panthers victory would also weaken Pittsburgh’s strength of schedule.
Cardinals at Rams (-3.5): This game doesn’t matter.
4:05 PM ET
Cowboys (-6) at 49ers: A rematch of the 1990s powerhouses! It would be nice for the 49ers to lose again for the sake of draft stock.
4:25 PM ET
Bengals at Steelers (-5): Easy one. Go Bengals.
Broncos at Chargers (even): Another easy one. Go Chargers.
Seahawks (-4) at Giants: The Patriots will want the Seahawks to win to hurt the AFC West’s strength of schedule.
