10 days ago news broke that New England Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi was involved in a car crash that left him and his wife Cassidy hospitalized. While Langi suffered neck and head injuries (and a back injury, according to the Patriots' injury reports), his wife suffered fractures to both her hips as well as broken ribs.
Both are on the road to recovery as a recently Instagram video showed – and this road appears to have taken them out of the hospital, per the Providence Journal's Mark Daniels:
Harvey Langi and his wife were released from the hospital yesterday
On the evening of October 10, the couple's car was rear-ended by a 25-year old Massachusetts resident who now faces multiple criminal charges. Following the crash, Langi and his wife were brought to separate hospitals and recently reunited as the above-mentioned Instagram post shows. Now, the two have left the hospital rooms behind – a good sign for both their recoveries.
As for Langi, who was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted rookie earlier this year, there reportedly is little chance that he returns to the field this year. Instead, the 25-year old appears to be headed for the non-football injury list once fellow linebacker Shea McClellin will ultimately make his return off the injured reserve list.
