The New England Patriots had two players in for a workout on Wednesday and they’re signing one of them to the practice squad, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Patriots will be signing WR Jake Kumerow to their practice squad. He worked out yesterday and stayed overnight.

Former Cincinnati Bengals receiver Jake Kumerow will join the practice squad. He is a 6’5, 210 pound receiver with a 4.52s 40 yard dash and 6.90s three cone speed.
The Patriots already have two wide receivers on the practice squad in Cody Hollister and Riley McCarron and it would be curious to see the team have three receivers on the practice squad at the same time. The Patriots will have to release one of their 10 practice squad players to make space for Kumerow.
EDIT: The Patriots have released DT Mike Purcell, who they signed to the practice squad yesterday. That could be an indication that DT Malcom Brown is on track to recover this week.
