Watch Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski score a wide open touchdown against the Chargers

The New England Patriots needed a 14 plays, but they finally reached the end zone thanks to a breakdown in coverage by the Los Angeles Chargers and a nice connection between quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski crossed the formation and either fellow tight end Jacob Hollister disrupted the coverage, or the Chargers simply decided not to cover Gronkowski in the end zone. It’s a bold strategy that didn’t pay off.

The Patriots tied it up 7-7.
