The New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers are currently in the middle of a close, hard-fought game. After the Chargers went up on a long scoring run, the home team was able to tie the contest on a Tom Brady to Rob Gronkowski touchdown pass. One drive later, New England is on top again - in curious fashion.
The Patriots offense was forced to punt midway through the second quarter and kick the football to the reigning AFC special teams player of the week, Travis Benjamin. What happened was a terrible decision by Benjamin:

Benjamin muffed the kick by Ryan Allen and in the process of trying to regain possession ran backwards into the end zone. He did not get out as standout gunners Matthew Slater and Jonathan Jones were able to stop him for a safety to put the Patriots ahead 9-7 - while also giving the offense the football again.
A field goal on the ensuing drive put the Patriots up 12-7.
