The New England Patriots is bad. Really, really bad. They have made some of the worst offenses in the NFL look elite and there’s no individual problem that can be easily fixed.
Stephon Gilmore hasn’t played well. Patrick Chung has been slowly phased out of the defense. Alan Branch hasn’t done anything this year. It seems like there are five crucial mental errors committed by the defense every game and they always result in points for the other team.
These are problems that aren’t solved on a short week with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the schedule. These are problems that take time and that will likely persist for another four-to-eight weeks. Hopefully the offense will be able to keep the team ahead in the standings.
