New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick recorded his 243rd regular season victory and 269th overall with the Patriots 21-13 win against the Los Angeles Chargers. Belichick is in fourth place for the most wins by a head coach in NFL history and he’s one game away from tying Dallas Cowboys great Tom Landry for the third-most in NFL history.
Landry has 250 regular season wins and 270 overall victories, which means that Belichick can tie Landry for third-most wins in NFL history with a victory over the Denver Broncos in week 10, after the Patriots upcoming bye week.
Belichick and Landry are far behind Don Shula (347 wins) and George Halas (324 wins), but the Patriots head coach has a real chance to reach the top if he coaches for another six or seven years.
