New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is on the Belestrator for the short week of preparation against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he only has two points of notes for fans of film. You can watch the clip here.
First, Belichick highlights Buccaneers edge rusher Noah Spence, a second round pick in 2016. The 6’2, 251 pound Spence has a sack and a forced fumble this year and is joined by All Pro DT Gerald McCoy on a disruptive front. Belichick notes that the Patriots can’t hold on to the football too long against this defense, so perhaps Tom Brady and company will pass the ball more quickly.
Second, Belichick looks at wide receiver Mike Evans, a 6’5, 230 pound receiver in his fourth season. The Patriots struggled to defend the Panthers 6’5, 230 pound duo of Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess, so the Patriots will have their hands full with Evans, especially when he lines up in the slot.
